Udonis Haslem has loved a charmed 20-season NBA profession.
The Miami Warmth icon has been a celebration to all seven of the franchise’s NBA Finals appearances, and now he owns a league document that stands as an affidavit to his longevity.
Haslem, who will flip 43 on Friday, grew to become the oldest participant to seem in an NBA Finals recreation when he checked into Recreation 3 within the closing minute Wednesday evening at Kaseya Heart in Miami. He tried one shot from the sphere and missed, because the Nuggets beat the Warmth, 109–94, to take a 2–1 lead within the best-of-seven Finals.
Haslem broke the document beforehand held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was 42 years and 58 days previous when he performed in Recreation 4 of the 1989 Finals for the Lakers towards the Pistons.
Haslem has performed his complete NBA profession with the Warmth. Final summer time, he introduced he would return for one closing season with the staff. The three-time NBA champion was feted with a stirring video tribute, that includes LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal, by the staff previous to his final regular-season recreation on April 9.
